I can’t quite place why but it is slightly less easy on the eye. Maybe the shading gradients of the background and the post background or the spacing between posts or something else. No setting brings back the complete relaxed eye feeling I used to have whether feed style or font size.
We haven't changed the background, but we definitely did work on the spacing of content quite a bit. We wanted a denser look, so that it is more in line with what the mainstream social apps are doing (and what most users out there are used to).

Maybe this is a matter of getting used to it? I've had the same feeling when switching from our old layout, but I now much prefer the new ones. The old one looks a bit pedestrian to me when I try the previous build of the app.

In any case, thank you for the feedback and keep it coming!
I feel it will always be slightly awkward and previously Primal was my favourite User Interface. I can accept change but please tweak it to not look so much like one huge post, bring back the definition.

Build 28.2 does not bring joy

Appreciate the work you're doing and i thank the lord for the testflight to stay on build 24.3 until i can try the next new build.

After going back and forth my main issue is the spacing between post is now too small and makes them all meld together into one long post with so little definition affecting the balance of the backgrounds, the lay out i can live with fine except for the PFP size is also too small also.

Hopefully you can take this as the constructive feedback as intended and not an attempt mock or be derogatory.
Yes, I know exactly what you mean. The user avatar/info area is too small, making it blend into the content. This is how the reddit mobile app does it, but I must admit it bothers me too. We will try increasing the avatar size in the full width layout. That will open up some of that space and make the break between the notes more prominent.

Thank you for caring enough to provide all this feedback!
The corners of a post were rounded too which really softens up the page, we need rounded corners please.
Please keep your new appearance settings but just give more options to adjust by the user or to set the old style appearance with user options to change that too.

I was also thinking after you said a twitter or reddit style feed, well i want a Nostr style feed. I say this in the same context as the meme "What if we used 100% of our brain, well we would cross post to twitter and not the other way"
