My advice to my own kids & nieces/nephews: If you can write code you are multilingual. Fuck learning French or Spanish. Who gives a shit about those languages. Learn code as your second, third, & fourth language. English is the language of Kings. Code is the language of communication.
Been telling my friends and family with kids the same. If one of the parents speaks a second language, then sure, teach it to them at home while they grow up. But instead of sending the kids to a french or spanish school, get them to learn computer language. Language is just a communication protocol. You want them fluent in the most popular language networks. If you're already an English speaking family, why spend time teaching them Spanish when they can learn coding? It'd be akin to them learning how to use Cardano instead of Bitcoin.
Great advice. Also, AI can basically swap between languages seamlessly now. And way better than a 6 month course. I’d like to start learning code myself. Not really sure where to start though.
Python is the easiest to learn. Scripting like bash would be a close second.
The only reason to learn a new language is if you're surrounded by people who speak it. Otherwise who are you going to talk to? Whereas the computer is always there for you, so you should learn how to talk to it instead.

Any language but pure English is peasant language. Not bad people. They just sound like peasants. https://image.nostr.build/433c7bf2065f7268c8deb9a9e935e77b6b49ebd8fa13eb22d890b92cfedde7d9.jpg

Our modern phones with high speed processors and high speed connections can do a good job of translating for us.
