You're not wrong, but imagine if the Rothschild's had social media in the 1760's? If "normies" back then had joined the conversation, they wouldn't have a clue what they were talking about, but by the 19th Century everybody knew what a bank was and most people used one. There are non Bitcoin citadels (relays) on NOSTR, but for the moment, we mostly talk Bitcoin because we are still early. It's interesting what @petermccormack is doing. He's rebranded his podcast as a general discussion forum, but every area he looks at will be from a Bitcoiners perspective and he will discuss Bitcoin with experts in different fields. I think Peter is right, it is time to move the discussion into the real world and talk about Bitcoin in the context of everyday life. I think NOSTR will gradually evolve to emulate this sentiment.
Fair enough but doesn't pay the bills for will, vitor and the other main devs
FOSS is a whole different argument that I am not engaged in enough to understand, let alone discuss. I suspect, however, that most Bitcoin devs won’t need to worry about money after this bull run , and certainly not after the next halvings bull run .
