The data we’re using is from appstore connect analytics. They collect data on downloads. I’m not 100% sure how they collect retention, maybe app uninstalls?
Every appstore app has access to those data. We don’t collect data in app. We don’t look at last post data yet, but could (anyone could)
Yes very true. Wonder is Apple would get that granular from an App Store perspective, but most likely if they can, they do.
Retention is active unique devices with active session per timeframe. Users sharing this data with apple is opt-in in phone settings, but Apple gives us the opt-in ratio.
