yesterday that instance’s admin called someone a * (like called the person an asshole then edited it to a string of asterisks) and mastodon.art was literally like “ASTERISKS?! THAT COULD BE A SLUR“ and defederated them, then a bunch of other places defederated them too, so tau-ceti.space is just furious
