Biggest Stock Market Crash in History
Think about the implications for gigantic cloud providers.
Think about what this means for creating a powerful computer on wimpy hardware.
Think about what this means for advertising, banking, application and operating system developers and copyright law.
How powerful does a computer need to be, to efficiently run Linux, a relay, a browser, a handful of widgets like a calendar, and 10 Nostr apps?

Because that's all that most people would need, right?

nostr:nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzphtxf40yq9jr82xdd8cqtts5szqyx5tcndvaukhsvfmduetr85ceqydhwumn8ghj7argv4nx7un9wd6zumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcpr3mhxue69uhhg6r9vd5hgctyv4kzumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcqyrvyn07mqa4pmalsncvmh4rwan9g7yhrt6hywj4mmvdjwmt7w58txupzxtf
Then it's more about choosing screen size and graphics card, keyboard, etc.
 Should say *calculator, sorry.

Or are the widgets also Nostr apps?
Decently modern i5-ish processor. GPU would be good, honestly. 32+gb of ram

2tb on a non-spinny drive.

🤷‍♂️
 Makes sense. 🤔
Yeah, over microphone with an LLM? But what about, if you want to watch a video?
u cannot play VIDEO game over RDP
u can watch MOVIE of RDP in LAN one device need screen
mistake - u can PLAY VIDEO but NO PC GAMES (pixels reaction very slow )
watch MOVIE RDP select fullspeed 100M or 300M wifi almost liek console 1080P video
sound need to FORWARD correctly
A cloud is just a server on someone else's computer. I like smaller clouds, like @cloud fodder or @The Fishcake🐶🐾 or @Enki or @finrod run. Big clouds are useless under Nostr.

But that'd be my second relay. My local relay would be my primary relay.
i have been thinking about this kinda stuff for sure. a lot is already possible, ie, install relay tools, set it to sync and stream from your other relays bidirectionally.. have a fast local relay, without even opening up ports on your firewall.
Yeah, the next innovation wave is going to involve integrated use of of different relays.

Relays are going to be a bit like drives+fileserver.
NO - reduce rentention period or flush drop DB - no obligation free type
I'm talking about local relays, on someone's device, or private relays for a community. Layer 2.

Not the general relays. Layer 1. Those should just take whatever from whomever, and roll off everything except long-form after 60 days. And long-form after 6 months. Or something like that.
We have a NAS, which is useful. Is it possible to put a relay (and maybe a vector DB) on that?

I just got a lightly-used laptop and Nostr barely wakes it up, even though I'm a heavy user. So, I need git, docker, an IDE, etc. but most people don't need any of that.
yes can depends on what version of linux running - if u can try install golang or npm in that
