@3967703f I'm honestly worried about what happens if 2 years' worth of rain happens local to me.

That would flood the entire place for days.

Yeah, it would get drained MUCH faster than any place which isn't the Netherlands, but it would still fuck me over a lot.

And I'm not convinced I've seen the max possible storm intensity, either.

I think I'm just lucky to have been missed so far.

It will not happen in California. The building code is strict. 

In Morocco a < 7 earthquake destroyed entire neighborhoods. That is literally bad government

What's more worrying is that way too many people don't grasp this.
