 The anti-vaccine people are organized and well-financed. People are dying because of their contempt for science and public health. Read this interview with one of the most important scientists in the field: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/vaccine-scientist-warns-antiscience-conspiracies-have-become-a-deadly-organized-movement/
 @f8d9bc1c “We’re not supposed to talk about it, or we’ll give it oxygen. But it’s got all the oxygen it needs. … one, it’s become a killer movement. …. And the second is the attacks on the individual scientists and the portrayal of scientists as enemies of the state. This is unacceptable. I mean, this is undermining our national security.”

It’s time the separate movements that oppose the Republican Party scramble for unearned power mobilized.
 @f8d9bc1c Exactly. "The first step is bringing in people from the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Justice and the Department of State because of the role of Russia in amplifying the discord."
 @f8d9bc1c The people against acknowledging that messing with the air messes with the weather, and against acknowledging that commodifying medicine perpetuates sickness…they aren’t arguing in good faith? 🤯

 I bet it's the same people that want to make sure women can't get an abortion right?
 @f8d9bc1c

Republican billionaire donors, foreign and domestic, fund malign influence campaigns on three main topics: covid, climate, and coups.

Covid is a hoax.
Climate change is a hoax.
Coup attempts are a hoax.

Why?

These are the false narratives that are most successful in destabilizing American democracy.

Ending democracy is the goal.

 @f8d9bc1c The strength of this movement and it's 'infection' of other nations is seriously scary - has anyone come across good analyses of the psychological / political motivations behind it?
