 CEXs are not your friend.
therefore Monero embraces delisting.

In contrast, modern Bitcoin maxis embrace VC money and degen fiat traders. Because it pumps their bags and they can pretend that they are in it for freedom.
like spoiled children they think that "now they fight you" means price dips before they get a million USD per BTC.

The fight is just getting started and it's pretty clear the younger bitcoiners dont have the stamina for it 😟

@Kanzan I didn't realize you are into monero until now. Where are you living in the world and can you use monero to buy locally? This year on the Rebel Capitalist show they went on a trip to South America with only gold and bitcoin. They soon found out that almost nobody would take these as a currency and that it is more a SoV. Wonder how the trip would have been if they had used monero.
I expect it would have gone pretty much the same. Monero isn't really widely accepted IRL, afaict.

I live in rural America, where there's basically zero crypto-acceptance. Monero or otherwise.
That said, I created a burner Amazon account through VPN with a Simplelogin email and bought a Amazon gift card with Monero and ordered a new Pixel to my PO box.

So that was pretty cool.
and of course, VPS hosting, VPN etc
I am happy that my constant Monero shilling has not aggravated your maxi sensibilities LOL
I know that monero is PoW and focuses on privacy rather than anonymity. But I wanted to hear your take on monero.

As for Japan, cash is still king and works great for keeping things under the table, but they are slowly migrating to paypay and other credit card systems.
To quote Nick Szabo, "Monero is also good money."

It makes different trade-offs than BTC, of course, and there's certainly criticisms that you can make. Things like tail emission, which I think is an advantage.

it's secured by less energy than BTC is. Partially as a result of its decision to pursue asic-resistant mining algos.
So certainly not as resistant to a 51% attack and therefore less appealing as SOV.

But it fulfills the digital MOE space extremely well with a good UX. It's extremely difficult to screw up your privacy.

Also, despite these Maxis harping on about relative fiat value, It's actually held its own quite well. My Monero stack is up almost 300%. Not as much as my BTC stack, but what's the sense of being greedy?
I lived in Japan for many years and never really saw it pay pay until i visited last time. I expect Japan to go very quickly to full digital payments, although it's been taking a surprisingly long time.
