 Anyone: Why Bitcoin?

Me: Start here.
https://m.primal.net/KOQx.jpg
I’ve just started reading this. I have high expectations!
 Yes.
Wish I were this smart. Lyn the quiet rock star.
It’s probably not the pinnacle recommendation for every adult. Intellectually lazy and high time frame fiat brains likely won’t finish it.

But for anyone open to hearing the ultimate long-form why, absolutely.
 This works also https://image.nostr.build/052619a9bf2ca073e90471b3d12ddaf34d11ce9acb36cfb7e33ddd83a8251539.jpg
A Classic, Heidi and Flavio during her best times. 😅👍🏻
Same here - it’s now my first recommendation for anyone new, along with @LynAlden excellent video summary. After that I tell them there is a lot more I can recommend and my next list is usually
- check your financial privilege
- the price of tomorrow
- layered money
Me : Go to a grocery store and buy a dozen eggs
Agreed. This one seemed very normie-accessible to me, as opposed to Principles of Economics by Saife for example, that's a book for if you're already a bitcoiner.
 Also here

First 3/4 are amazing before Saifedean starts going off the deep end
Hey James - can I get a follow over here? Need to up my game on this decentralized comms platform.
 Bob Welcome to Nostr!
 Thank you sir!
good starter, even better recap after a while

Yessir. Or just think about how good/bad is your money. You only don’t notice because you are getting rich on leveraged real estate…but that will change.

Have not read it, but knowing Lyn. Is this not way to deep for the usual nocoiner family member?
 It is quite accessible.
Hi James. Saw your recommendation in X for the Primal client. Have switched over from Amethyst. Primal feels better. Thanks.
 Word Deon
 Word?
 That’s Gen X for ‘Cool’
 You’re a gem.
You made me chuckle. I'm early GenX (1962). The 70s defined my childhood and teens. But in South Africa where I was born, we used 'groovy'.
No - she makes the information understandable to all. Not your typical history/economics read! Easier and better!
I'd wholeheartedly agree. My contribution is to fill in the silence before the question "Why Bitcoin?".

I've written what I'm calling Bitcoins adventure textbook. An action adventure novel to Trojan horse the orange pill into fertile minds.

If you are a subscriber to Spotify premium it’s available as an audio book for no additional charge
How? Where? I tried looking 👀
But you have to be Spotify Premuim to listen for free
I have one but can’t find it. Got a link?
or with her 30 minute video since so many people don't read
This is still on my reading lists. 📚 That is getting longer and longer since apart from stacking sats I love (obviously) stacking book piles. 😂🤷🏼‍♂️
What I consider the #1 Bitcoin book. Which is awesome, considering 95% does not talk about it. You just naturally come to that conclusion
It really is a fantastic book.
 Right on Adam. 👊
 Incredible book
 Hmmm. Yes

Also @LynAlden's 30 min video is a great primer / entry point

Showed the video to my parents and wife. Not all are fully Orange-pilled yet but getting there. At least they realize the problem
 brilliant
Mandibles isn't a bad into too. Storytelling sells
 Me, decentralized freedom.
 Or her video @LynAlden

This (and Ray Dalio's video) are some quality content for free
 Must read, indeed
Such a good book. One my favourites.
The Bitcoin Standard will always have a special place for me of course.

But is it sacrilege in the community to say Broken Money is a more important work imho?
I started with a book called Banking Bad, Corporate cover-ups .. Adele Ferguson.
A compelling story about corruption in the Australian banking system.
But then read The Fiat Standard and the penny dropped!
