Years later (1996 iirc) in Georgia , a girl I was dating was a John Boy and Billy fan. I had no idea it was Isley, and I used to kid her about it as I was a Ron & Ron show listener.
@75d34930@ed9c883c I only attempted once to hear that show and it was a few years ago here in Knoxville. I didn't hear much show, no bits, just a bunch of commercials in my 20 minute commute.
@75d34930@ed9c883c BTW, to 1978 High School kid me, John Boy was pretty all right. I used to call into the show and jabber his ear off, but when I got to the studio I was a deer in headlights, lol
