It's helping some African's I mean its the first time we have access to a hard money, we never really had a gold standard here, once we as citizens received property rights in a post-colonial world, we were firmly in the fiat system
Its a tiny sliver of people who have figured out Bitcoin is the ultimate offshore investment and for some remittance cases it works out better than getting shafted by Western Union
But the continent has a long way to go, Bitcoin can't help you have no capital to save, or if you're a net consumer of your income which is the vast majority of people here
The way I see it is Bitcoin is part of this global wealth redistribution phase and some of it will make it here and won't sit on that capital but use it to unlock further deflation by launching businesses, creating jobs, offering services in remote regions that never had access before, oh and pulling all the wealth we have sitting in the ground out to be used locally and not shipped overseas for USD
It's going to be a grind for sure, but I've never been more hopeful,
