 it can also take < a day with good kit  

 weeks, escpecially over tor/i2pd. 

 Use a recent chain bootstrap 😉  

 strange. it took me five days one year ago on a raspberry pi 4 over tor.  

 Never tried. Is there no way to just download the entire chain and then run a verification locally? No idea how it works - never looked into it.
