With the Cypher system everything would be free and soon with notifications on Nostr.
It is a project to follow carefully.

Sorry one more question: in addition to off-chain payments on lightning on one's own node, is it possible to receive on-chain payments by matching an xpub? 

 There is a spot to specify a bitcoin address in the configuration, but no xpub at the moment. Sounds like a good thing to add, something to think about. 🤔
