How does one own land in the US without being forced to pay property taxes?

This question has been surfacing in my mind lately. I have not come up with a satisfactory answer. Yes, this might depend heavily on the state, but... Have any #nostriches figured out how to deal with local municipalities and their (immoral) money-grabbing?

 good answer

if a 501c3 holds the title there aren't any taxes due
I’ve been wondering about this as well…

You're better off asking a lawyer or maybe an accountant, but one in your state either way. Costs a bit, but if you're serious about reducing your taxes as much as possible, nothing beats an expert. If you get any actionable advice at all, it'll pay off the $50-$100 consultation fee the next time you file taxes, and the advice will be both more detailed and more trustworthy.
 You don't.
If you're lucky you can keep your ass, Your guns, and your bitcoins.
:peace:
That's sad. And I bet there has to be a way, at least in a few states.
 Invest in a good CPA.
They will save you money and keep you out of prison.
In some jurisdictions if the owner of a property is allowed to buried in a grave on said property it can be achieved… so I’ve been told… take this for what it’s worth- where I live they have laws preventing this for the sole reason…
I don’t even want to bring this up because it’s such a cluster duck.
You can put your property in an LLC and rent it from your self and depreciate the property. It’s very annoying and I don’t know how to do it start to finish.

Wouldn't that just shift the taxes to the llc?

If I was going to do anything with this, it would be setting up the property in stone kind of trust, as I think that would be easier to pass on after I pass on.
They are the same, the LLC and the trust (in some sense) the LLC would collect tax losses. Look, what I said is a horrible idea anyway. They can always change the rules anyway.
 You can’t
 Why?
Because a group of people with guns call themselves the government and will kill you if you don’t pay
Maybe, but then I still won't have paid taxes, so I win. 😁
If being dead counts as a win for you then you know what you must do 🫡
I have a nonprofit that holds the title

try harder
There is still a cost to that but sure it is better if you can get it done
