I disagree with that; the messaging needs to be different if you're making a video hosting app or a coinjoining app. Even just for the account creation flow the pitch and flow needs to stress different points, talk to different users. a one-size fits-all approach wouldn't work. 

 You are not wrong, but this is what we have now. And most apps have relatively weak onboarding. 

Ultimately, no one is forced to use the profile creator app.
