 fwiw you can use one-hop onions with tor, if speed is more important than privacy

i2p is definitely not faster on average, also it's harder to integrate into applications-no arti equivalent, so the only way is interfacing through SAM with a running i2p daemon, which may or may not be readily available for a platform
