I know! Imagine the kind of battle that could take place at a gun range or a gun show... 

 Could it perpetuate the culture of people-pleasing where everybody is on tiptoes all the time about what they’re saying? 

Works at a gun range sure, but in society at a larger scale? 

 I think people showing each other more respect by default would be a win

 And contradictory to the concept of free marketplace of ideas.

But I don’t like a government having all the guns either.

 gov. follows private sector picking up scraps, like buzzards or a flock of seagulls 

 once in awhile stooping to the wild dogs approach 

 it's the people not the guns, imho, i grew up with them.
