Contemplating the added complexity of meatspace business over cyberspace. It's just much harder when you can't ship an improvement to the product to all customers with the click of a button. Meatspace is hard.
What is Meatspace?
The realm where you computer hardware lives.
The real world, take a produce farmer for instance. A digital storefront is great but i cant click a button and have farm fresh goods immediately in front of a customer. Harvest, storage, shipping/freight cant be digitized because Thats my interpretation
True. On the other hand: If it is harder, there will be less competition. And for the competition you do have, it will be hard for them as well.
I remember the days when gaming companies had to publish their patch files on gaming magazine CDs to reach their clients. 💽 😆
nah its all good mate because youre not competing with the fast updaters - meatspace devs all have to ship like that
That's a good point.
Random brain fart: it is good that there are physical restraints limiting how much reach someone can have in meatspace. It gives space for respect and consent. Maybe we should have a way to impose proof of work onto any comms to us. Updates to a software we use? Don't bother me right now, come to me after proving how important it is for me by doing the work. Is it bad to make companies work to reach us? Would it make them put more effort into spam and less into real signal? Maybe I should stop thinking for a while.
