There actually isn't any conversation, just people talking at each other. Bluesky is performance theatre. The people seem nice and polite but the notes are just virtue signalling to each other. No one is talking about their real life or anything beyond the superficial. Nostr is a odd collection of Bitcoiners, techies, and misfits who hang out on the edges. There is actual conversation and exchanges of ideas. People talk about their day and aspirations.

Agreed. I still probably self censor due to the open and forever nature of Nostr but I feel way more open here than I ever did elsewhere.

Nice overview. When I first joined nostr, I was still spending 90% of my time on twitter. Since then I've watched the content grow and it feels closer to 50%/50%. Also, my mind gravitates to nostr and I check it first. Fun watching it grow!
Especially when Bitcoin is moving or an interesting guest is on one of my Bitcoin pods I'm drawn to nostr and stacker.news. X has been ok for wider world stuff like SpaceX and government efficiency.
I guess I win a prize for talking about my real life. I just saddled another poor soul here with a small part of my life story. I like Nostr, and I use it almost exclusively now. Don’t forget to add paranoid people to your list of types who hang out here. I’m certified paranoid. When I went through my marriage annulment through the Catholic Church, they had me have a session with a psychologist who told me at the end that I’m paranoid. Initially I was pissed about this assessment, but then I realized she was right.. I’m suspect of many people and organizations. Now, I wear it like a badge of honor. Being paranoid fits in well here and it fits in well with embracing Bitcoin. Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you. 😃
