Nostr is not fixing the web, it's just relaying notes, and other stuff from one user, to another Solid is from the people that made the web, taking it to its final version, and back to its decentralized roots (yes fixing) Different things, one is doing one thing well, the other is making changes to the fabric of everything that exists. Both can work together, by design.
Did you try testing this with users to see if anyone understand that the “sign in with Schnorr” means? I’d never guess that it meant something related to Nostr.
Good point. We are just protyping with the Solid OS team right now. And they dont know what Nostr is. But they already have Schnorr signatures. So it seemed like a quick win. For end users it will have to say something different, yes. We are also working on a W3C spec: HTTP Schnorr Auth https://nostrcg.github.io/http-schnorr-auth/
