It’s not so much about privacy for me, I just don’t want that function in my social client now. I have a dedicated messaging app and I’d rather open it specifically when I want people talking to me.

Every time I open dms it’s almost always someone asking for something that is going to take up my time.
Mine is just people trying to sell me stuff 😂, but sometimes I need to get in touch with a nostr friend and don’t wanna clutter the public feed
The dm function can stay, I just want to hide it somewhere where I never have to think about it.
Yeah it would be cool to be able to rearrange functions, hide some, add others on the main page
