This all comes back to discoverability around people’s interests.  Perhaps people could pay for feeds that are curated by algorithms. I know everyone is very hostile to them by and large, but there are some positive aspects that can be salvaged. If they’re implemented in a more user focused way I think there are less downsides. Maybe I’m talking out my ass right now who knows. 

 I feel like people won’t crowdfund in large enough numbers unless the user experience is nailed down.
