It just freaking works. No glitches, bugs, or weirdness. It is just so streamlined and minimal that there is nothing to break on it or is it just good code?
👀
This is great. Thanks for sharing. I really need to get a lightning wallet. You got any recommendations?
Depends on what you want. Running a node go with Alby go. If you don't want DIY but still want a node go with Zeus. If you want self custody and liquid then aqua is pretty slick but no LNURL. If you want eCash minibits is awesome. If you want all of the above and don't mind not having self custody then coinos is very nice.
Thanks king 👑. You the man
Half of the payments I’ve seen from Aqua to a Lightning invoice have failed.
Really? Trying to Zeus or my own node I've seen it not find a channel but that's it. Some weirdness sometimes sending to it from eCash wallet says transaction failed but it still shows up. I'm not a fan of the sending minimums and the fees are a little high. But I do like that the funds are easily accessible on another liquid wallet with the key if I can't get access for some reason.
It’s unreliable in a retail environment, which is where I’ve seen it used first hand. The customer pays from Aqua. It shows on their end that the transaction was completed and their balance is reduced. The merchant doesn’t receive the payment and the invoice eventually expires. Meanwhile the customer and the merchant are left staring at each other awkwardly while they try to figure out why “bitcoin is broken.” The funds from the failed transaction apparently return back to the sender, but it can take up to 24 hours.
not what i hear with retail here but will do a deeper dive Daniel
My sample size is 4 transactions with a 50% failure rate in two different locations. I haven’t extensively tested it, but it has not earned my trust.
Alby just improved self custody lightning UI/UX by 10x. I connected alby go and lost my cool.
lol I can’t even log in now. Going to start from scratch I guess … seems I messed something up
Are you running the latest hub update 1.8?
I just updated to 1.8 but now can’t seem to connect my Alby account to my hub anymore. It lost connection after updating and when trying to reconnect I get the attached message. No other hubs are linked. Any idea how to solve this? @bumi @roland #asknostr https://image.nostr.build/4b985bfc66326bda01b1854b7680d1b2fde8b5507d41b2e6580849cac87ac9c0.jpg
what do you see in your account wallet configuration: https://getalby.com/node can you unlink there and try again? but no change should be needed after an update. How did you get there?
Thanks for the reply! I see this - see attachment, looks like it indeed is not connected. When clicking the link to link to my own wallet again I go to the screen where (the first time) I could link the wallet but it keeps spinning at “waiting for your hub to connect”. Maybe a cache issue? Can I reset it in my Alby account? Good question, updated it and after that it lost connection. https://image.nostr.build/8991a166163cdc7547d41a94b95477dddebb113a87aa750af70a52474688925e.jpg https://image.nostr.build/be30a26e15031de2c2d827ffb134b6d23a1e657974695552a1627e9fecdcfc3e.jpg
Waited for 2 hours and now it lets me connect again. Problem solved 🤙
ok, good to know. thanks. where do you run that hub again?
Umbrel
ok, that should be good. keep me posted on if you see issues again.

Anyone got an invite code they don’t know what to do with? Thx in advance 🙏 #Alby @Alby
Is it open source?
