post remotely to nostr: ok, have you read nip1? you don't know what a nip is? it's a protocol defin--wait where are you going
i accidentally liked my own post, can you not undo?
You can request a deletion in some clients, but everything (including a like) is like an e-mail here. Once you sent it, people can keep your "e-mail" forever. It's on their inbox, not yours anymore. You can't delete things that are in somebody else's inbox, including your Like. But you can ask them to delete. :)
More like being live on TV.

Emails usually only go to one recipient so the damage is limited if you fumble it.

Un-deletable nostr has much more potential for public embarrassment.

Ah yes! Not so great. I’m glad to see you on Nostr and trying out Nos. We’d love to talk more, mind filing out this survey so we can get in touch? https://forms.gle/oQFSAxPorppytXLT8
 Feature, not a bug. #SovEng

Actually had this convo a while back. Where I wanted to make APIs to push and pull events.
The conclusion was “anti pattern”.
this was a complaint about the available documentation and code examples for the various nostr js libraries, not a complaint about how posting to nostr actually works
you must be a very big dickhead if you think that's how you talk to people you don't know
an open protocol isn't _your_ house
