However, many will take exception to this claim: 

"... the major takeaway is that the Unit should be seen as a feasible, technical solution for the theoretically Unsolvable: a globally-recognized payment/trade system, immune to political pressure. It’s the only game in town – there are no others."

Bitcoin achieved this years ago and is far more likely to achieve global recognition (as it's unaffiliated with any particular bloc) and to remain immune to political pressure (for the same reason).

If Bitcoin is not already effective in this role, why does UNIT (https://unitfoundation.org/) seek to raise 1000 BTC for its IDO? 🤔
