When we mention decentralization as one of Nostr's favorable properties, many people immediately think about "cryptocurrency". Their mind goes to scams, rug pulls, charlatans, and "crypto bros" - all the negative aspects of the cryptocurrency world.

Most people don't understand what this is either. They only understand it if they've experienced censorship or know a loved one that's been affected by censorship, someone that's in their social circles, etc.

Decentralization means backdoors, weak links, and no accountability these days.
I would ditch the term completely when talking with normies. We need to sneak these things into their food supply without them knowing it. I would say "nostr is designed to outlive any person or company"
