Can confirm this is the case in both film and oilfield as well, but really - probably every industry as @tonycarrera says. I definitely see it more and more at these bitcoin conferences I go to as well - but I will say - there are some solid folks mixed in that are at a lot of these as well. Once you know who they are it makes these events better. Takes time to build these relationships though.
