New research reveals that the dinosaur age ended with two massive asteroid impacts. A study published in Nature shows that a second asteroid, around 450-500 meters in size, hit the Earth at the Nadir crater off the coast of Guinea in western Africa, around the same time as the Chicxulub asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. The impact would have displaced water and launched massive tsunamis into the Atlantic Ocean.
