 I personally think we need a fully Linux based mobile OS not developed by google. AOSP doesn’t cut it

 There is. I bought one but they are extremely expensive and slow. You can buy ones with faster hardware but the prices are ridiculous.
It's not easy to manufacture a phone in the USA because costs are too high for everything. We can't compete against China. 

Google and iphone also have a monopoly and they get subsidized by the corrupt banks in exchange to spy on is. 

After google gets dismantled which is coming in the near future by Trump & military. This will allow small companies to flourish and we will get much better mobile operating systems that run on everything and developers will move away from google and iphone.
