Quick update on my mom: she went to the radiologist today for some initial imaging and so far the cancer appears to be small in size or minimal in coverage, or both (also, the type of cancer is the most common one). But before they decide which route to go as far as treatment, they want an MRI just to make sure there isn't more cancer hiding somewhere. The MRI will happen early next week. Hopefully the news continues to be encouraging.
