Having near world wide comms coverage with any infrastructure is extremely satisfying. And you learn it of physics for free. The new kids are really being the hobby back with JS8&FT8 digi modes on QRP(low power), it’s really neat. As comercial stuff loses interest in sub 30mhz, the pectrum is wide open for experimentation and no more encroachment into ham bands.
I would still need to get a license to operate one, right?

I love JS8, FT8 is the original protocol but I don’t like how its used.
