Social Security Payments for October 2024 Have Been Sent Out!

As per the latest update from the Social Security Administration (SSA), payments for October have been distributed. If you're waiting on your check, don't worry - just wait a few extra days to account for any banking or administrative issues.

The SSA has shared its payment schedule for October 2024, which is determined by birthdate. Payments will be sent out starting from the 2nd Wednesday of the month, with the remaining two payments following on subsequent Wednesdays.

However, if you received Social Security benefits before May 1997 or receive both Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI), your payment schedule isn't tied to your birthdate. Instead, payments are paid out every month on a specific date (3rd for Social Security and 1st for SSI).

If your check doesn't show up as expected, the SSA recommends waiting three additional mailing days before contacting them.
