Good morning all you awesome #nostriches, I hope Saturday has found you well. I’m a little late with my #gmprotocol, but when the baby wakes on the weekend, it’s dad’s turn to let mom sleep. I think we may have finally got our garden soil tuned in, this is the first year we’ve actually been able to grow pickling cucumbers and I think they are doing better than the China Jades #gm #gardening https://image.nostr.build/19859c8d02d8e4da4483bf21cd602969540de496179e20b411d515f9739ca7ba.jpg
Dang. I cannot grow them. They turn yellow and are odd shaped
Yeah that has been our problem for the last 5 years even after building raised beds, but the last two years we have been adding more bio matter to it at the end of the season and have been growing daikon radish to also feed the bugs
Maybe I will be able next year, the 5th year of doing the same.
Nicely done. My pickling cucumbers usually never get pickled because I just end up eating them. Nothing better than fresh veggies from your own garden grown with love
lol yeah that’s how ours are going this year too even though the China jade variety is a better fresh cucumber, my 4 & 6 year old are constantly pulling them off the counter
