Mathematics is also a fundamental building block for rational thinking, decision making and ability to dynamically adjust one’s belief systems, as decisions like, whether information is truthy and what action to take next, use probability and risk factor calculations 

 I truly grasped this point after I began building a chess engine; it blew my mind, realizing that sometimes, one of my most critical and logical decisions is just a simple mathematical equation (with available data). 🤯 

 All humans already subconsciously perform some form of probability analysis in real-time.  It is just that some do it better than others, and even fewer consciously recognize and optimize their use of those processes
