@dictatordave @efa2e20e @7ea6f088 @951ad5bd Hit 105 here in NC this week. Son played soccer game yesterday afternoon at 99 (humidity was less than 50%, which helps).
@a50791e7 @dictatordave @efa2e20e @951ad5bd There you go. What's annoying in Texas more than the heat is the drought. But the drought keeps the humidity way down which makes it more like Albuquerque. You dont really feel it that much
they keep saying we'll get some rain like every day here for the past couple weeks but havn't seen anything in a while, like about a month, much of the rain that comes into the area seems to be deflected north, i think the mountains are definitely playing into it and if you look at wind patterns right now it seems there's a lot of hot air coming from the equatorial regions rather than from canada, i expect this will turn around in a couple weeks as historical trends dictate but we'll see

either way, its a good time of year to get those worms fed and get fertilizer for next year rockin
@7ea6f088 @efa2e20e @dictatordave @a50791e7 @951ad5bd seriously it seems like the news (based on panicked communiques from my relatives) keeps hyping up the heat with no mention of drought. It’s bad where I am. We are under water restrictions.
even more crazy is no one is asking if its ground or air temps that we're being presented with

shocker, most of these high temps are heat index bullshit or they're ground temps that are biased by development
