 Do you use Home Assistant? 

 I haven't added cameras yet, but my wife wants me to so I've been looking for privacy focused cameras that are compatible with home assistant. 

 I don't know what that is. I want the cameras we have some weird stuff happening near us but I don't do the smart home thing  

 Home Assistant is an app on the Start9 store. It allows you to do smart home things from your own computer.

I hear someone is also making an encrypted nostr smart home client that sounds really awesome, but it's too early  to tell. 

 Oh okay that's pretty cool. I haven't set mine up yet. It's on my shrinking to do list  

 Where do you find it? I don't see it in the registry.

 I heard a while back that Start9 was planning on making such devices.

In the meantime, aparently there are ways to use even the crappy closed source cameras by blocking their 3rd party surveillance at the router/firewall level, like through #pfsense, but I haven't figured it out yet. 

 I have no clue how to do that or even where to start.
