I understand, but in order to build on the value for value you need some way to get "in" so to speak.

The music part of nostr is good, but the money parts are all grift, so I would recommend using nostr to post music but not to raise funds. You can post music "natively" on nostr with nostr.build or just post links on nostr to whatever other places you post your music, like a YouTube link or whatever.
