Hang in there. I know how raw it can make your feelings when you lose someone you love... even if knew it was coming.
@3d4d179e yeah I was so busy this weekend I didn't really take it in but seeing his full name like that on the obit really struck me, I'm still processing. This weekend will be good for me I'm sure. We send him off officially on Saturday.

We lost my uncle this past Thursday. It was out of the blue. He was in his 70's.

He was the go-to guy when I needed advice to everything from cars, guns, home repair, and Life. He is the best man I ever knew. He left three sons with three good families and a lot of friends behind. I take solace in the face that he felt bad for an afternoon, passed out, and was gone. No suffering. My mom was there to welcome him home. I can reconcile myself with that.
@3d4d179e you have to see the silver linings and be grateful for the times you had, no doubt. It's always tough to lose the good ones but the best we can do is make em proud with what we have left I think.

Much love and condolences to your fam 🙏

Thanks, I appreciate it. I kept it (mostly) together until the funeral. It was a gut punch from the start and has left me pretty numb since Sunday. It was tough. But it hurts because it means something, you know?

Sending love to you and your family. I hope God comforts you and gives you some peace through it all.
@3d4d179e wow, yeah that's a good way to put it. It is deeply meaningful, no doubt about it.

We truly have been blessed to have known men of that caliber.
