when you think about it, things are crazy now that japs pretty much hold first place in media for the under 30 demo. They’re like, the size of a US state but they’re the only think most people actively pay attention to.
Imagine if new jersey made all our media, that everyone faked the accents and studied up on authentic jersey trash culture in order to one day move there as an english teacher
I agree but don't think that's a good comparison, Japan has a population of 125 Million or so and is about the same size as Germany or France
tbf japan has 120 million people that's much larger than any US state.
anyway I remember back in the 90s and 00s british stuff seemed popular, teenage girls loved britpop dr who harry potter and british accents. that seems to have gone completely. now your choices are japanese media or braindead pozzed american slop.
