How do you explain inflation in few words? (Imagine explaining to someone you care about 😅)

This is for a project, I thank you in advance!
Prices aren't going up, money is becoming less valuable
Inflation is the gradual increase in price levels of goods and services in an economy over time. It occurs when the supply of money and credit increases faster than the output of goods and services, causing the value of money to decrease.
Inflation is like your money going on a diet—it shrinks while prices bulk up, and suddenly, your coffee costs as much as your rent!
Counterfeiting is illegal not because the "fake" dollars are wrong somehow (they might be perfect copies), but because introducing money into the economy that wasn't earned by the creation of value is bad for the economy. Inflation is when the government does this anyway.
Inflation is the rate at which the general level of prices for goods and services rises, eroding purchasing power.
Theft of your time and energy via money printing. Another tax on your life. Whatever you earn and pay tax on, the State steals another percentage by debasing your money.
decline in the real purchasing power of money
 The debasement of currency
Your father could buy a house with 2 years of salaries.

You are not be able to buy the same house with 20 years of your salary.

Growing the amount of money which makes each individual piece of money worth less.
