There appear to be some folks around here who are less supportive of free speech than they claim.
#Nostr is meant to be a place where anyone can post whatever they want and the only way they end up having their voices silenced is if all relays decide not to host their notes, or all clients decide not to fetch their notes.
That means there is bound to be content, whether it be language, images, videos, or ideas, that is not suitable for children posted here. Deal with it.
The answer it not to censor the person who posted content you don't like or don't want your child to see. The answer is for you to be a PARENT and take responsibility for what your children are and are not able to access.
You can have only 1 of the following:
A. A censorship resistant communication protocol where anyone can post whatever they want without fear of being silenced by those who disagree with them.
B. A safe space for children to interact online without seeing things they shouldn't yet be exposed to.
Nostr is not a place for children.
There could be whitelists of accounts with child friendly contents.
If a site wants to only post child friendly content it could apply for whitelists.
There could be Clients with the ability to only display whitelistet contents and the parents could manage wich whitelists they prove and also manage an own whitelist.
Everyone should be able to create whitelists but also everyone can chose which whitelists he/she wants to use.
Also there should be nested whitelists so somebody can add whitelists to his/her whitelist.
I think with this modifications nostr would be better for kids than facebook/twitter etc. and there would be no problems for adults with this modifications and nobody is forced to use whitelists.
Client devs need to implement algorithms where people can select things they'd rather not see. Nostr will get there eventually.
