Yup. Nostr doesn't need you, but you might need nostr.  

That said, clients can certainly choose to implement algorithms that do a ton of filtering and provide a Facebook like experience for those that want it.  That's the whole beauty of it. 

 I’ve never used Facebook.  Ever. Never signed in once in my life.
