Someone close to me has her mood completely tied to the performance of her stock portfolio. She has had some giddy days in the past several months, but yesterday she couldn’t get out of bed with the market bleeding. Why would any tie their happiness to something they have zero control over?
Idk. It's a shame. I get the focus on money and security it brings. Happiness doesn't come from money. Maybe it's the mindset.
Because she hasn’t stacked enough yet? (less corn=more dependence on selling your time=less sovereignty over your lifetime)
Mood is tied to financial position. Same thing happens to all the Bitcoiners I know whether they want to admit it or not. Money touches everything so when it turns negative, its easy for the mood to follow. Being happy not matter what the conditions are is the trait of a master and takes practice to fully adopt into your consciousness.
Any bitcoin maxis in their first cycle are guaranteed to be a little puckered at this stage. Theory and reality often are different. All these bitcoiners who had meaningful positions at much lower cost basis (1) already have seen that productivity multiply and (2) didn’t necessarily have to go as hard in the paint stacking fiat to establish a “meaningful” Bitcoin position Everyone says the pump is coming but as a first cycle I’m sitting here like …
Right there with you. Class of 21 second half. HODL Strong 💪
I'm also sad, when #Bitcoin drops in price, because I don't know where to get more fiat to stack the dip 😂
That is for sure a sickness. Waking up everyday is the greatest blessing any of us could ever have. Be that as it may ..stay humble and keep stacking sats when you can
She does have control over when she sells and buys, but it seems she's invested because it's good advice, and not because she wanted to learn how. If she has a long term hold planned, this recent news is barely a blip, and means nothing. If she's more of a short, or mid, term investor, then she should be following her exit strategies when they are triggered. She's basically a gambler, and not an investor.
Not only that, but tied to something that really matters so little.
Symptom of being over leveraged, and a lack of financial security. Probably walking a tight rope with her finances and so she’s euphoric when the going is good and depressed when it seems she might be about to fall.
No exactly the opposite believe it or not . Boomer with no debt, incredible amount of assets and 8 figure stock portfolio. Yet her happiness was s dictated by the market.
Solution: understand, buy, and hold Bitcoin
