 I’ll take the other side. I’m terrified of the people who control the nukes. The technology itself, not really but their ability to deploy it, yes.  

 If their ability to deploy it is made stronger than the collective human race's ability to stop them, by the nature of the technology, then the technology itself is terrifying.
