Depends on the plannings of each government how Bitcoin would be allowed to be used. If using this technology will be criminalized than the mass would be scared to adapt it as the mass is cought in ultimate government trust.
It is dangerous to assume that others don’t want chaos & war only because you don’t want chaos & war. Idealistically, yes. In terms of practical implementation, I'm not so optimistic, especially while there's no real visible way to exchange fiat for Bitcoin without giving exchanges sensitive info (which people like me are wholly uncomfortable with). I'd love to see us move to Bitcoin but with the way things are going, it's difficult to be that optimistic.

A destroyed currency ultimately leads to war as history has shown us. Plus, you get to blame the war for the inflation before you reform the currency (or launch a new one) and restart the cycle.
