Some highlights: -We shouldn’t have to have a notarized copy of our taint to transact :D - There are only two choices: Happiness/Freedom or death. A system that views our lives as its most valuable resource will never grant us freedom. Until more of us choose to hold our own lives ransom, collectively, we’re choosing death. We have to see something better than this system. Edward said the “game” is too good to leave: we have hot food, soft beds, constant drip of dopamine from dumb corporate overlord peddled social media sites… I’d argue that it only appears to be too good to leave. A soft bed in a prison cell is still a soft bed in a prison cell. - We need to respect the right to privacy for the individual far more than we do. This was enlightening. I love the idea of transparency, but can see how this can also lead to our enslavement when in the wrong hands. - Institutional buy-in means institutional sway over the technology in ways that may not serve us. - and so much more I didn’t capture here. Thanks for the talk, @Snowden. nostr:note1zy07gqpnfql33mhm8a97z6wkwcs8xdan3e5zprs46fl6sgctf3fscu5u2y
