In my mind nostr should become a very good way to monetize a following? The incentives are there and you don't have to deal with censorship and fees to a third party? Your following also follows you where you decide to go? Or am I missing something?
You're absolutely right. More importantly, Nostr allows for a true V4V model. The meme was about the hypocrisy of BT influencers who rely solely on centralized platforms for income, yet claim they understand the censorship resistant properties of nostr (and still fail to use it in a meaningful way).
