 @d7f327a9 Whenever I hear "we should just let businesses set the rules - I'm sure they'll be fair," I think of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire.

To keep it short, workers were locked in the factory and not allowed to leave until their shift was over. A fire broke out, but nobody had the key to open the locked doors. The windows were all blocked as well as were the stairwells. 

146 people died because the company wanted to "reduce worker theft."
