w00t! i'm seeing this house in Boa Ventura tomorrow morning by what the guy said, i was very close to stumbling upon it on my outing the other day, it is quite a ways down the hill near Sao Christoval not so much in Boa Ventura, which i'm excited about... he said there is no buildings on one side of it at all down to the gully/valley near the hill, which is what i suspected by the photographs i have to organise something by 22 december anyway, in any case, so this works out well... and he also told me that it's not a long walk from this house to the nearest shops, which is also very helpful w00t w00t gonna live in a crappy little brand new madeira "little house" way out on the edge of nowhere :) relatively speaking, way more isolated than here, and quiet, no dogs next door, he said, that is great - when i told him i live next to 3 chihuahuas he was like "ohhh" hehe
Good luck! Sounds like a great little place. š
https://img4.idealista.pt/blur/WEB_DETAIL-XL-L/0/id.pro.pt.image.master/52/fd/44/256946222.jpg it has a BBQ! woooot! having no BBQ has been the worst thing about this place here, second only to the goddamn chihuahuas
and yes, i'll absolutely be buying a shit-ton of nice wood for that fireplace and it will cook my food pretty much every day
also, i'm guessing they won't complain about me growing some vegies in that dirt patch to the side there... it's winter coming but it doesn't frost so i'll for sure be able to grow lettuce and cabbage and a few other things, not even sure what i would grow it's on a minimum 2 month lease too, but i'm gonna probably just stick there until i stack enough sats to make the move to wyoming or montana or utah or whatever
Sounds like a plan. Iām not a gardener, but I had a blackberries in the backyard for a few years. Loved having fresh berries and cream for breakfast.
oh yeah, i bet i can grow strawberries in it too... that's a bit more work but i know they grow well here, over on the other side of the island in Camara da Lobos i walked past big strawberry fields
Looks great! Thanks for the photo.
